GLASSES… where are my glasses? Probably something I say to myself everyday as I am your typical four eyed girl always crawling on the floor searching like Velma from Scooby Doo! When I was younger I used to despise the fact that I had to wear glasses so I never wore them and quite frankly made my eyesight worse by not doing so… However, I now embrace my so called ‘four eyes’ and I’d say glasses are one of my biggest fashion statements whether they’re my eyeglasses or a pair of sunglasses.
I LOVE GLASSES, I mean who doesn’t? They hide your face if you’re ever having a bad makeup day, they hide the bags under your eyes after a night out in the club or waking up from them ever so early 9am starts at work…
Warby Parker, an AMAZING glasses brand have recently collaborated with Leith Clark and I LOVE their new vintage inspired collection and to top it off this amazing company is donating a pair of glasses for every pair sold to an organisation called Girl Up – a United Nations Foundation which helps to promote the health, safety, education and leadership of girls in developing countries.
I have been honoured to announce this new product line for the release today and here are some of my favourite frames matched with a few of my outfits to provide inspiration for you all…
and finally combo 5…
My favourites are the ‘Zelda’ frames featured in combo’s 4 & 5, LOVE LOVE LOVE!!
Share your favourites with me and click on each photo to link you straight to the webpages or if you want to decide for yourself you can shop the glasses collection here & the sunglasses collection here. Just remember purchasing a pair of these fabulous frames means another pair will go to a very good cause!!
One of the hit accessories this season is the Choker necklace and if you have been looking at my instagram posts recently you will have noticed that I am somewhat a fan of this latest fashion craze…
The choker necklace was a very popular accessory back in the 90s and recently it has re-surfaced itself and became ever popular throughout SS16 and has now become a top hit for this winter.
Chokers have made a comeback with many different shapes, materials, patterns and colours. You can get cord ones, velevet ones, metal ones, beaded ones and even the elasticated ones that were ever so popular in the 90s!
I recently invested in this pack of 4 from Stradivarius… A shop that I am gutted I’ve only just found out about because I absolutely ADORE everything on their website and will definitely be visiting their London store next time I’m in town!! Check out their website here and here is a link to my chokers…
THE CHOKER… here are some of my favourite chokers which are available to buy now…

Fall dawns upon us as the leaves are starting to fall off the trees and the bitter air is slowly starting to consume the summer breeze – therefore the coats are slowly making their way out onto shop floors.
However if you’re like me and can’t bare to let go of summer and all the cute little lace vests and slip dresses you’ve recently invested in there is a way to keep these items alive during this fall season… A trend so simple all you have to do is invest in a tiny tee…
THE SLIP DRESS… an infamous wardrobe classic that never goes out of fashion – therefore all the more reason to invest if you do not already own one and heres some of my favourites you can get your hands on…
THE TINY TEE – the piece that keeps your summer buys alive this fall… The tee doesn’t have to be white it can be any colour (that goes with the dress). Here are my top picks…
Dress – Topshop (old)
Tee – ZARA
Shoes – Vans
Hello my lovelies!
Sorry I have been away soooooo long but I have taken time away from my blog to think of a perfect restructure of my blog as I was not 100% sure on the way I was running it before!
Therefore after researching and looking at many of my favourite bloggers I have decided the perfect way to blog for me….
My old blogging style consisted of me providing daily updates about my life and my style as I always showed my OOTD at the end of each post… HOWEVER I want my blog to be a fashion & Beauty blog only therefore I have decided to stop these daily posts and instead I will post my OOTD everyday on my instagram – lilywrist.
Therefore you’ll all be wondering what I am actually going to post on here… Well I will be posting weekly updates about my favourite trends each season in my trend tab and I will also be posting Beauty updates as often as possible on my favourite beauty products and all those new beauty products I will be treating myself too every time I finish one of my uni assignments!!
So today I’ve finally had a day off work and am able to share my ootd with you all as I realise I haven’t done this in what feels like a long long time!
I spent my day off on a casual outing with my Mum and we went to a little cafe to eat chocolate fudge cake (which was absolutely delicious) whilst walking our little mobes…
As today was a perfectly hot summers day I dressed to suit the occasion wearing my new denim cut off mini skirt. Denim mini skirts are a massive trend this season and will literally go with anything on any occasion and they’re always a handy piece to keep in the wardrobe!
I paired this with a striped tie up bardot top as bardot and stripes are another big trend this season. I finished the look with a pair of old worn converse to compliment the cut off style of the skirt.
As for beauty I finally tried out my Kylie Cosmetics Koko K gloss and I absolutely love it and I will review this product on my blog very soon as the glosses are very different to the lipkits so keep you eye out!!!
Get the look:
- Top – Topshop
- Skirt – Topshop
- Shoes – Converse
So today I have finally had the day off work and have had a well deserved day of pampering 💁🏼…
First of all I took a trip to the nail salon as my nails were beyond overdue and one had snapped off and it was just all a disaster 😫.
After browsing on Pinterest and getting some ideas I decided to try out the ‘almond’ shape for my nails finished off with a summery pale blue (I know the nail varnish was OPI but I didn’t see what the colour was called)… But I absolutely love the colour as it’s perfect for summer 😍.
After I got my nails done I FINALLY had time to try out one of my new Kylie lipkits so I decided to try out Kylie’s favourite – which is called “Ginger”…
This is the first brown shade of lipstick I’ve ever bought and I decided to buy it because it is more of a reddy-brown than a full on deep shade brown. I have decided that I absolutely love it and will definetly invest in more brown shades in the future!!
When I ordered this shade I was a little nervous as I’ve heard some bad reviews about the darker shades in Kylie’s collection as reviews claim they aren’t evenly pigmented when applied, but I disagree with this as I only used one layer when I applied ginger and it came out perfectly. If you want to read my review on Kylie’s Lipkits read here…
So these are my summer shades for the day and I will be uploading more photos of my other Kylie cosmetics products throughout the week!
Hello to all my lovelies!
I am sorry that I haven’t posted in over a week but I have been so busy working trying to save these last pennies for uni next month that all I do is werk werk werk werk werk werk, meaning I have little time to myself and not the time to blog 😭😭😭😭.
But today I have made time as my long awaited delivery from Kylie Cosmetics has finally arrived and I am so in love 😍.
I ordered the products as soon as I saw the new summer colours (I know the birthday edition has come out since then but I live in the uk so shipping takes forever), but I fell in love with Maliboo and Ginger on Kylie’s Instagram and I wanted a gloss so I ordered Koko gloss as I’ve always loved that lipkit colour!
I will review these 3 products and show you all photos on Monday!!
