Swinter style

As you all know I’m from England and therefore am a victim of what I like to call “swinter style” (winter style in the summer). Recently in the UK we have been lucky with warm temperatures and blazing sun however the last couple of days have taken a turn for the worse… The gloomy rain clouds are back with their dreaded bitter winds.

I am a massive wimp in the cold so with any kind of temperature drop I am the first to whip my coat or jumper out. Therefore, today I decided to bring back my leather bomber because it is lightweight and not too thick, just incase the weather picks up (but let’s face it I’m living in false hope).

I also opted for a stripey top to try provide a summer feel to my look, I matched this with a burgandy lip topped off with leather ankle boots for a biker edge.

Tees & Rips

T-shirts and ripped jeans are one of my ultimate favourite looks as you cannot go wrong with it. And I’d even say a pair of ripped skinnies and a simple tee or sweater (depending on the weather), is my signature look.

I usually go for jeans with just a few rips in order to not look to harsh but today I decided to rock my black over distressed jeans and soften them up with my cool mint air max.

Kylie Jenner Lipkit

For my birthday I got Kylie Jenners Candy K lipkit and a few days ago I promised a review of my Kylie Jenner Lipkit. Sorry for the delay but I’ve been busy with my last uni exam recently but it’s over now so here goes…

First of all the packaging

The packaging is one of the highlights of the product for me as it is really unique, recognisable and provides a strong brand image.

The application

The liner is not a screw up its a wooden pencil and therefore has to be sharpened, which is confusing as there is a plastic bit on the tip of the pencil which needs to be removed once the pencil is blunt the first time! Furthermore the lip liner is silky smooth and therefore applies to the lips with ease.

The liquid lipstick has a doe foot applicator which allows the product to glide on smoothly and the liquid drys within seconds to avoid any smudging but allows just enough time for you to apply, so the product is perfect in this manner. Moreover, the liquid lipstick smells so good like cake frosting and I can’t stop smelling it!

The texture

The texture of the lipstick is matte, once dried it is not sticky and you pretty much feel like there’s nothing on your lips.

The duration

This is where the product stands out for me… You literally apply it once and that’s it, it literally does not come off therefore you don’t have to worry about forgetting to put it in your handbag because you literally do not need it! You have to proper scrub it off for it to be removed, which is amazing because you’re lips are always picture perfect.

The price

The price of Kylie’s lipkits are $29 which works out to £30 in the UK with delivery, therefore I think the prices are very reasonable as they’re pretty much equivalent to the price of a MAC lipstick and liner in the UK.

I highly recommend Kylie’s lipkits and will be investing in more within the future as well as trying the glosses and metal lipsticks! But I do suggest you exfoliate and moisturise your lips on a regular basis if you want to use this product as the product will show any cracks or dry flakey skin.

The overall product is of a high quality and a good price and can be found here. However, they’re hard to get hold of as they’re exclusively sold on Kylie’s site and if you want one I suggest you follow Kylie’s snapchat and turn on your tweet notifications for her Twitter page as the products sell out within minutes of restocking!

The outcome

This is the Candy K lip liner applied on its own…

This is both the Candy K liner and the lipstick…

Hope you all enjoyed this review xoxo

Today I am on my way to Leeds and I’m halfway on my journey catching the train at the infamous London Kings Cross where Harry Potter catches his train to Hogwarts…

Today on my travels I am supporting comfort as there’s nothing worst than being uncomfy on a journey.

As I’m staying the night my Longchamp bag is coming with me! Makes sense seeing as they’re known for being the best travel bags, right? They’re so spacious and handy when it comes to anything from travelling to work to uni, so just basically every day life!

I love my all black ‘Le Pliage Neo Large Shopper’ and my nude Pom is the perfect accessory!

See ya in a day London 👋🏼

Wednesday wander

As you all know I absolutely love the city life up at uni and cannot wait to permanently live in a city.

But as summer starts this Friday, I have to readjust to the quiet countryside life in my hometown for 4 months, therefore there is no better way to embrace the countryside but to go on a brisk walk with my little Mobes.

A walk is also the perfect revision break as you get a good dose of fresh air to re-stimulate the brain as I have my final exam on Friday and therefore will be travelling back up to uni tomorrow!

For my walk I opted for a halter-neck crop with black jeans and showcourt trainers to provide a basic but stylish look.

Lacoste showcourt, Adidas Original Superstar and Stan Smiths are my favourite trainers this season as they literally go with any outfit, from trousers to skirts and therefore are a simple way to complete any look.

Date night

So tonight’s my one year anniversary with my wonderful boyfriend and he’s taking me out on a surprise date…

The only instructions I’ve been given are “to dress up but not smart”.

Therefore I’ve decided to opt for a jeans-heel combo with a simple tie up vest and a long cape.

I decided to apply a nude lip, gold eye makeup and bronze cheeks in order to coordinate with the gold on my bag and my heels (shown in the photo below).

Let’s hope I’ve dressed appropriate for the occasion!

Sunny Saturday

So today was my boyfriends last day off work and a perfectly warm sunny Saturday so we decided to go to the zoo. It turned out to be a perfect day to visit the zoo as it was feeding day for the Tigers, therefore it was fascinating to see their strength in action. I also saw my ultimate favourite, the elephant.

My zoo outfit consisted a casual look with a simple tshirt, ripped jeans and converse.

To top off my summery look I used Mac’s ‘Frou’ lipstick to provide a light shimmery glaze to complete my casual look.
